Sarah and Lilly, sisters estranged for twenty years, meet in a remote cottage. As their father lies dying in another room, the countdown begins to the moment when the last person they have in common disappears. In this surreal bubble without phone reception or television, the sisters are the stars of their own sitcom – but with nobody to talk to but each other, that fourth wall stubbornly refuses to break. As time creeps on and death hovers next door, all that’s left is a game of truth or dare – but how can they play when “truth” is so subjective? Are we all just narcissistic children at heart? Can they reconcile the past when it’s impossible agree what it looks like? And how exactly did all their mother’s fish die?
